Just been announced Johnny Garness has had a big one during testing at Estoril, high sided and got hit by another rider, fractured skull and bleeding to the brain apparently.
The surgeons at the hospital in Lisbon are confident it wont need surgery but are monitoring him for now

Sounds messy!

I'm going for Monday, never been to BSB before so it should be good fun.

The May Bank Holiday BSB at Oulton is one of the highlights of my racing calendar and apart from a few years living abroad (09 to 12) I haven’t missed it.

It’s always a well attended event (I think one year over 40,000 for race day) and I’m hoping Leon Haslam can spring a surprise.

The format of cramming everything into two days on a bank holiday does nothing for me watching at home.

I can see how it’s good for circuit attendance but I doubt I’m alone in not liking the tv format.

Same as watching on a normal weekend for me , same two days worth of action.

Brooke’s seemed comfortable at the front and I think he’d have won red flag or not.

Surprised Iddon isn’t closer to the front of the pack on the 3rd Ducati.

Brookes does seem to have gelled with the BMW and Hickman was flying towards the end of the race and yeah, Iddon doesn't seem to be gelling with the Oxford Products bike at all.

And a wee bit furious that the race was curtailed!

There was a glimpse of him giving the tank a decent thump when the arms of the leading trio went into the air / resultant red flags were displayed.

I think that he was sure that a podium was within reach.

I have a feeling Wilf has some slightly off the wall ideas on chassis tuning.

I like him and the team a lot , but I think they are genuinely under performing .

TB has pole tomo, and I hope to see his first Beer monster win….

Also, I see Coops is riding SSP this weekend.

To be fair, Hicky was one of riders raising his hand for it to be stopped,

He was certainly frustrated, but with the rain rather than the other riders.

Looking at how much leg dangling is going on, what happens if another rider clips their leg as they pass?

I understand people use the leg dangle to give less room to someone trying to pass on the inside, but what do the rules say about it?

Or is it just a gentleman’s agreement not to ride through someone’s leg?

As many have said, an excellent ride by Josh Brookes. Leon Haslam is also going fantastically well as I predicted. All the people that refer to Leon in a derogatory way have suddenly gone very quiet.
