In addition to the stanchion saga it's about time the calipers were rebuilt on my VFR1200F.

I've done this a number of times on several bikes but it's always been an ahole to bleed again. I'm aiming to rebuild the rear first - which is linked with two pistons on the front left caliper. What's the best way of stopping air getting into the system when I take the calipers off? Bearing in mind it has combined ABS.

If it's got rubber hoses then you can get hose clamps. If not, get a mobile mechanic in - bleeding brakes on C-ABS bikes is a real pain. I've been there...

£12 on eBay , a vacuum brake bleeding kit, even if it just works one your quids in, I had mine for a few months and so far have bled the brakes twice and diagnosed a split hose on the clutch side
