Hello,

My friend put his Pan on my drive whilst he moved house... and has lost all the keys. I emailed Honda and they said all I can do is fit a new lockset and ECU. I just thought I would ask on here if there is another way around this?

In related news, if it can't... does anyone want a massive outdoor paper weight?

You’ll pick up a second hand lock set and ecu easily enough.

What age is the Pan? Is it new enough to have HISS? If it is then the paperweight option may be the best! frown

It does have HISS, so it looks like a used ECU and lockset is the answer. I was hoping a new key could be coded by a locksmith somehow......

Also I bet the steering lock is on too.

Seems ludicrous that you can’t trailer it to a dealer and have them program new keys

You can purchase a locket from a country that doesn't have hiss and replace it, I'm off to Google for a link

I thought that too but the dealer says it can’t be done because it’s too old.

I gather I would need the loom as well, so it might just be easier to get a lock set and ecu from the UK. Sigh!

normally that means they've sold off the diagnostic kit...perhaps to a local specialist, worth a ring round
