Read the Small Print

Was checking out my rear sprocket after a chain snap.
It was stamped as 49T

I had the urge to count the teeth and got 48. Several checks confirmed 48.
Looking at the sprocket again, then saw the small print:


Go figure!

C49 means approximately 49. Not far off.

C49 High Carbon Steel is what its made of All the JT Sprockets Have C49 on them!!!! even the ones with 38 teeth!!
