Saturday final times, Fabio getting up to 8th - https://www.crash.net/motogp/results/1021931/1/por...

But Yamaha are having other problems, they can't homologate their 2023 fairing as it's wider than the rules allow. Who makes that kind of mistake???

I know it’s only testing but that can’t be good for the series. Suzuki gone already this could end up being a one make series.

Interesting that Marini said a factory bike will have to win the championship..Riders getting arm pump due to downforce! I'm not a fan of the wings so lets hope they get banned smile

Yeah because what the best cornering and slowest bike on the straights needs is more drag on the straights.

It did OK in the end, Honda must be concerned though, maybe they'll pop to demon tweeks for a wing..

I wish they would get these wings tae fk . It’s a fking motorcycle for crying out loud. Let’s get back to basics and decent racing in the future instead of whacking every single bike with the ugly stick. It’s getting out of hand now.

It’s becoming a euro series now…
Can honestly see the jap factories walking away if they can’t compete.

And you thought F1 was going to be bad, I think it's possible on this evidence no other make could win a GP this year other than Ducati!

At least there are loads of them, I would not like to be Dalligna trying to keep them all happy!

And they are all on different eras of bike too! Crazy development, but they deserve it for being the ones who took it upon themselves to cover half the grid, unlike Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda who ran off and cried.

Sorry guys you have to work harder, there are not even crazy rules here like there were in the old Flammini SBK days that benefitted Ducati completely at times. This is all just better R&D, engineering and rider selection

Still think Yam may be sandbagging a bit?
End of day one, Fabio is worried and says they don’t have so much to try, then wheel out a bike with a top bid rack on, and Frankie has two chassis at least he’s on all day, Fabio ends up 3rd fastest!
Be interesting to see where they all end up first race. My money, Miguel! But pecco looks blooming fast too.

Fabio bagged third fastest once they reverted to last year's frame and bodywork with this year's engine i.e. a bike he'd got to work nicely by the end of last year, but with the power it lacked.

Doesn't say much for the winter of non-engine updates if they result in a bike you can't get the most out of. He said they were lost throughout day 1 til they reverted to last year's chassis.

Yes but they can tweak chassis and aero over the year. So they have to test things sometime!

The priller fork wings is interesting. I wonder if they are getting to the stage of so much aero on the fairings, it’s somehow twisting or flexing the bodywork? So stick something on a more solid member 🙃( oooh matron) !

Didn't say otherwise, just that they weren't sandbagging but that they'd brought a load of upgrades that don't work as a package.

Plenty of test time over the season to get the bike working on the new stuff later. But right now they need a baseline the rider can use.
