I thought there was a thread for the updated Street Triple but Google search failed.

Saw one at Triumph last week. It’s certainly a sharper looking thing. The lights are nicely tucked in and are looking as inoffensive as they ever have.

It’s also getting some great reviews. Especially the RS on track. Fagan was frothing! The road reviews for the R are a little thin. Separate 44T review later this week.

The Bike World on Youtube was pretty glowing about the R, she said if you aren't going on track the R is plenty

Looking forward to a few more reviews but the RS is certainly an absolute weapon on track. Think the R may be all that's needed as a road bike but that's not the point is it?

Did a thread when they announced it, dunno why but I couldn't see it in the search!

The R sounds cracking as they've sprinkled it with some nicer bits, but I'd struggle not to covet the RS for the next step up the jazzy scale.

That’s the thread!

Yep I’m waiting for the R reviews.

The only negative with the RS looks to be the silly rev display on the dash. However with that engine screaming between your thighs I guess you know exactly what the engine is up to.

A mate that I ride with has a 2017 RS. I’ve ridden quite a few miles on it when we swap from time to time and I’ve always thought it’s the perfect fast road bike and I can’t see that anyone would need anything faster in the real world. Handling is great and build quality seems very good.

Obviously not ridden the new ones but I think the R looks like the sweet spot now. I did read a review (that I can’t find now) that said the suspension was actually better on the R and the power is I think the same as the old RS.

Yep Neeves says for the road the R may be the better machine. No yellow though!

Too many bikes are in boring colours these days, they pushed the boat out offering 4 shades for the RS. laugh

I don't know what it is about Triumph red, but it just doesn't do it for me.

Saying that Fagan is keen would be an understatement!

Interested to watch part 2 when it arrives - road test in both RS and R

As usual I think 44T do the best reviews vids. No other release vids got the designer in.

I think the reviews are done by the follow (in no particular order):
  • Bike World & Chris Northover
  • MCN & Neeves
  • 44T, all of em
EnglishBikerDan is also a good for more day-to-day real world stuff.

I told myself I wouldn't get *another* naked but the R looks amazing.
