Air valve in forks?
Discussion
Hello wonderful people! You look nice, is that a new jacket?
I have a pair of forks from a gpz305 for reasons. They look like they have a little air valve in the top. Why? What does it do? And how do I make it do it? And how much doing it is appropriate?
Need to put them on the front end of a CB 200.

Assuming it’s the same idea as the GPZ600 the air makes the forks firmer, it really doesn’t take much and there’s a risk of blowing seals if you get carried away.
Just another one of these things that was breifly popular before being dropped forever!
My GPZ also has an air assisted rear shock and anti-dive forks.

I had a 350 YPVS back in the day that had air assisted forks, didn't seem to make much difference tbh

I've had them on pickups / estates, essentially to disguise when you were massively overloadedWas it the same principal for ageing bikers ?
