Classic Oil Change
Discussion
I bought a T140 Bonneville a while back and in preparation for a spring ride out one of the last jobs was an oil change.
.
20/50 mineral is recommended so I popped into Halfords for a 5l can of their classic oil.
It was a blast from the past when I opened it and found the oil was green.
Distant memories of Duckhams.

It would be really good to hear how you get on with the the bike. I'll be looking for a late T140 to scratch my old Brit bike itch, hoping that the left side gear shift will make it less of a culture shock, they just sound fabulous and look great.
..
Bought as a non runner with an electrical issue.
Finally traced to several iffy crimp and choc-block connections, the main one being the wire from the kill switch being loose in a choc-block.
I have replaced 50% of the wiring including taking out and re-fitting the BB electronic ignition.
I prefer points, and wish I had the parts that have been removed.
Still it starts second kick now and has been for a little run to the village and back.
It has new carbs, but once again not fitted very well as just one exhaust is blue. Need to get them set up properly.
.
Hope to ride it this spring/summer and smarten it up for next year during the winter.
