Talk to me about leasing. I have a wandering eye with cars. Leasing fixes/fixed that...

I've had my bike licence less than 8 months and I've already owned:
SV650 (2 weeks)
Tiger 800 (3 months)
KTM 1090 adventure (4 months)
R1200RT (1 monthish)

All the above bought privately. I'm now selling the RT even though its fantastic.

I'm thinking lease a bike (if it's a thing?) and settle down.

I'd need a great all rounder, not a naked sadly. It'd need to be a higher miler deal as I'd probably do about 500-1000 a month too.

Sounds like you don’t want a lease as you’ll change your mind 10 minutes later and be stuck in a deal you can’t get out of.

What was wrong with the 1090? What are you actually looking for in a bike as you look to have had quite a variety already.

BMW are the only ones who do some sort of 'leasing'

honda used to but it doesn't appear on their site

i dont think its the correct product if you're changing bikes like your knickers

Sometimes you run past the answer and look back wondering.

The issue is I'm new to bikes and its all a candy shop to me.

Key is a fairing or decentish wind protection as I'm tall/have a long trunk and a decent noise.

You need to go to one of those massive bike warehouse places like superbike Factory and have a good look around.

What about a new 1290 super adventure? Or SD 1290 GT? Although you'll get your pants royally pulled down on insurance as you've not had your licence for very long.

Actually an Africa Twin has decent fairing and makes a good noise out the box but I wouldn't say its much different or exciting than a 1090.

I have no idea about leases but I wouldn't tie myself down to one if I had no idea what I wanted.

you could try Spyderclub https://www.spydermotorcycles.co.uk/motorcycle-lea...

they often have ex club bikes at bargain prices, always well looked after by them

You're doing it wrong: you're meant to keep the one you've got AND buy another bike. biggrin

You're at a stage when you should be focussing heavily on improving the rider, not the ride. Keep the BM and get something more "fun" to run alongside?
