Does anyone have a CCM?
Discussion
I had a CCM Spitfire Scrambler for a couple of years.
Mechanically wise I had no trouble with mine and the engine had plenty of power for A and B road blasts, just avoid motorways.
I found the gearbox very slick from the off and even more surprisingly I found it a comfortable bike to ride distances on and any stops were more down to the limited fuel range rather than comfort. I had a BMW 1250GS as well and I found the seat more comfortable on the CCM!
The only problem I had with mine was with the clear coated frame as rust showed under the clear coat and by the time I sold mine it was on its’ third frame.
Service intervals are short but mine was a summer toy so I just had it serviced once a year and CCM send a mechanic out to service the bike at home if you do not want to go to the Factory. I found the mechanics very helpful, knowledgeable and in my case both were ex professional racers.
I never liked how you turn the ignition on and off with the fob over the seat but you get used to it.
I also did not like the side stand as it automatically flipped up when you stood the bike up and the bike looked almost upright when it was on the side stand so I used to park on a camber if I could!
Other than that I would say they are great fun bikes and fuel stops became lengthy affairs as the bike attracted a lot of interest from people when filling up etc.

Well you sound like the perfect CCM customer then !! Ha ha ha !!
Seriously, each to their own, I don't care, they are just not my taste.
And I like third wave coffee! Think il pass on this one. The main contenders are an 821 Monster, Svartpilen 701, Duke 890 and new XSR 900. Seriously, each to their own, I don't care, they are just not my taste.
I’ve had a blackout scrambler for coming up to a year. It’s a thing of beauty to look at! I agree the engine is gutless and rough at low revs, but does sound epic.
I did an around GB ride on it last year (2500 miles). I’d avoid motorways as the vibrations are quite severe.
I haven’t had many dealings with CCM so can’t comment on their customer service. I bought one because they are made in Britain and relatively low volume. I wanted something that was a bit unusual.
It’s a good second or third bike…
