Does anyone know any insurance providers specialising in three wheeled scooters? The usual bike ones seem to be very expensive.

Are you on a bike or car only licence?

Are you insuring a moped or one of the 2 wheels at the front that is wide enough not to need a bike licence,

I can understand an insurance company being nervous of someone on what is basically a motorbike, without any m/c licence. No idea if the accident/claims stats back that up, but if the premium is high....

Three wheeler on a car licence. I owned it for over 6 years, rode for 3 before. I paid 450 last time.
You don't think that 2k for a twist and go which is even safer due to 2 wheels in the front is ridiculous?

If you are talking about piaggio MP3 , don't bother. Biggest heap of unreliable poop in the world, but I suppose its ok if you bin it after 3 years .

If it was up to me, I’d charge a fortune to insure an MP3 or similar.

Before we even get onto the added risk of numpties ‘riding’ them on a car licence, the very concept of them is abhorrent and worthy of financial penalty.
