Has anyone got a leg bag, the o/h was after one for Valentines day and it got me thinking, I too want a holster for my vape and hoose keys. I mean they're a bit gay, but far better than the Gameboy bumbag I had as a kid.

So, does it scratch your tank to fk and more of a pain the arse, literally, than they're worth.

Would you not consider the Kriega R3 waispack instead? They are a bit less waxed moustache, mung bean latte at the Bike Shed than those leg holster things?

I have one and it would be bang on for what you describe.

Going to ask the silly question ... but, doesn't yours / your OH's gear have pockets? Even on my most 'hugging' summer jacket I can still fit in my phone, keys, fob, and still have a little bit of space for a kitkat or two! My winter gear has enough pockets to pack for a mild excursion into the arctic!

How can you possibly think that’s less embarrassing than a fanny pack???

I've got a Oxford bum bag thing, the smallest one they do. Fits my phone, wallet and house keys just about....but not noticeable when riding. Handy little thing.

This or if you need to carry more a little bag that straps to the seat? Like a Kreiga 10l pack, or Oxford if you’re not feeling so spendy.

Heck a handbag worn casually over the shoulder would be less embarrassing than the leg holster!

Kriega bumbag. Quality bit of kit and does the job. R3 is fully waterproof and fine for a few small bits (phone, keys, wallet, etc).

But it is quite a small capacity so I went with the R8 which comes with a larger main pocket, a removable side pouch (which I've taken off), and a tool roll which is a nice bonus.

I bought the cheapest one I could find, to give it s try, great bit of kit much more comfortable than a bum bag.
When the cheap one wears out I'll by another.

I've tried all sorts of backpacks, bum bags & tail packs. I couldn't bring myself to try a leg holster - just looks a bit gash. I find even bum bags a bit of a distraction when riding. The only thing that seemed to work for me was a small tail pack strapped to the rear seat.

Good point, but fanny packs do my nut in.

I mainly wear a one piece when I'm out, I can get my phone, vape, garage fob and a credit card in my leathers that's it. I don't have any storage under some of bikes seats.

I get it looks a bit, well very gay, but I'm intrigued. Indiana Jones had yin.

I'd be more worried about getting shot at by a trigger happy police marksman if you happen to be riding past a royal event or a presidential visit smile

Same with those shoulder holster carry bags and those things that look like a flak jacket.

Surely any bag over one piece leathers is going to look a bit crap?

I use my Kriega R3 waist pack over my one piece leathers.

I don’t give a frig about how it looks though. I don’t have space inside my leathers for my phone, house keys, wallet, spare earplugs bottle of juice etc. so they all sit inside the waist pack tucked away behind my back and not given a second thought until I need them.

The main draw for me is it being completely waterproof, especially with it having my phone in. I’ve been caught out in massive downpours before where I’ve been soaked through. If my phone or whatever had been in a pocket in my leathers it would have certainly got drenched.

Plus, if you ever take a pillion the waist strap is something they can hold on to.

Not really....

A small bumbag or R3 looks better than a leg pack. And leg bags typically sag down and are uncomfortable in the real world.
A friend in SA insisted on having his CZ75 in one on our breakfast runs. Eventually went to an R3 as the leg loop kept rotating o under his leg and it was mooi uncomfortable...

MTB just buy a small givi tank lock bag and a spare tank ring for your other bike, they are small, really practical and you won't look like a knob.

I have used one for almost a decade now.

Not in South Africa is doesn't.
In the past I had one my self and then the cz85. An old but under rated system imo.
