Swap blade for Street triple?
Discussion
I don’t know what to do.
I have a couple of bikes, one is a lovely 2007 repsol fireblade. It’s a belter, the repsol ones that year were quite trick, not just paint and it’s got power commander and fancy shocks etc.
But I’m 53. I had a ride on a speed triple the other day and I loved it.
What do I do? And no I don’t want an extra bike. Something has to go. And it won’t be the old Zed thou or the enduro.

Notice in the title and in the OP you mention two different bikes. Street in the title vs you had a shot of a Speed.
Either are great bikes, but coming from a 'blade I'd be sure to get a Speed personally, I had a test ride on a Street and it was great fun in the twistys (probably better than the Speed I ended up buying) but it felt very buzzy on NSL roads and motorways.

What year Speed Triple?
I did exactly this with my then 2013 ‘blade, which went to make way for a 2017 Speed Triple R. Lovely thing, but within 6 months I was looking at sports bikes again.
I now have both the Speed and a 2019 Fireblade. I’ve never been very good at making decisions.

Try an S1000R. For my "fun" bike kicks i went Fireblade -> Street Triple -> S1000R
With a comfort seat and a fly screen it's surprisingly usable.
It's got the power of the blade, but with shorter gearing so it's more accessible. It's comfy in a way that the fireblade can only dream of. It has the bonkers nature and pops/bangs of the street triple. It also happens to have heated grips, cruise control, etc.
VERY underrated bikes IMO
Paid £8k for mine at 3 yrs old with a 2 yr warranty from BMW.
