FFS… how does Alan Millyard do what he does? It’s taken me most of the holiday to fettle this rack and fixings to fit my DT. Oversized holes to allow adjustments due to interferences I did not see, will have to respray my brackets as all got chipped in the final fettling, and it’s not quite square. That said, it has a certain charm and not displeased with it…

That’s a cool thing. On another topic was watching AM take his Pam Am to bits….’ There was a slight noise, so I took the engine to pieces’ he’s a legend.

I have my Pan sitting outside waiting to be looked at, I just can’t be arsed then that Milly bloke just rips his apart due to ‘a noise’

Bloody sick of him! hehe

So I just watched more of his videos rather than actually doing anything. Too cold, wet, snowy, dark, too drunk… just can’t be arsed.

Did the OP put some downward brackets from carrier to rear light mount ?

Not the smartest idea, I guess,

when serious load comes on the carrier this light/fender assembly could bend, or brake off.

That’s how it came, and like you, have reservations regarding the design. But I am aware of this weakness and only intend it for light use… flask of coffee and sarnies… few get me home tools. Think it will cope with what I have in mind.

Similar frustrations to you. I took one of the end cans off my GSXR as there was a crack. Got my mate to weld it up a few weeks ago and decided today to put it back on.

Had a bit of a job on getting the old gaskets off.

Got there in the end to find a hole in the downpipe…

Guess now I’ll have to take the downpipe off as well to repair it.

Doh… I guess that’s the way it usually goes! Followed by rounded nuts, seized or snapped studs ++
Not a problem for Mr Millyard… but a big pita for the likes of me and maybe you.
Hope it comes off nice and easy!
