My Held Air'n'Dry gloves started to lose their waterproofing and the liner started to become detached. As they have a warranty I sent them back a couple of weeks ago, despite chasing, not heard anything since apart from an email confirmation to say they'd recieved them.
Has anyone returned an item to Sportsbikeshop and were they replaced or repaired? How long did it take to get it back?

I dropped my helmet off rather than wait. It still took them a week to examine, they sent it back and I immediately rejected it dropping it back again..

I sent a set of Alpinestars GP plus gloves back when they were approx 11 months old as the fingers all started splitting and they replaced them with a pair of gloves of my choice for the same value (I went for furygan gloves which incidentally did the same thing. Now have Racer and RS taichi and they both seem much better) and I had the new pair within a couple of days.

I also sent some leathers back for a different size and they were back with me the same week.

I assume the timing will vary depending on the manufacturer - ie Held might be better (or worse) to deal with than Alpinestars which is out of SBS control

Yeah, Gerbing XRL Gloves. Dropped them off explaining the total failure of waterproofing. Got a call a week later to say that they'd been packaged whilst still wet (not by me) and once received at head office were covered in mould. Due to this they couldn't send them back to Gerbing so would just sent me a replacement pair of gloves. Very happy tbh.

I've returned two pairs of Richa urban style boots that failed to be waterproof and they offered an almost immediate offer of replacement (if I wanted to wait) or refund. I took refunds both cases. I'm very happy with Sports BikeS hop, I have tried to support my local bike shop but they never seem to have much choice, stock or the sizes I need.

Schuberth Helmet - problem with visor not locking. They had it a few weeks but it was returned fully repaired and all ok

Yes - Merlin leather jacket, which needed a popper reattaching to the cuff after ~2 weeks of ownership. I had a tight timeline as I needed it for the Malle rally about 2 weeks later.

They kept me informed and got the jacket back to me about 10 days after I sent it. Can’t really fault the service, TBH

They sent mine back with (worse) stut-stut motion that the new ones have (I bought it smooth but never stayed open). So they accepted my rejection of it. Now the proud owner of a Spartan new standard ECE 22-06 model which is lightyears ahead of Shuberth in quality I feel.

Loved the C3 Pro and bought the C4 Pro when it came out, as did my riding partner. Worse item, related to motorcycling, I have ever bought, and as for the built in intercom system !!!

RST gloves that had a problem with the velcro after about 14 months of ownership.
And a set of TCX boots that the sole started to come away on after about 3 months.

Both times I emailed SBS and sent photos of the problems before posting the items back to them.

I received a full refund for the gloves and a brand new set of replacement boots.

No quibble, good communication from SBS and a quick turn around on both items.

Have sent loads of stuff back.

Only minor grumbles were with regards to a stty Drift camera as the fault was obvious and I wasn’t keen to wait for Drift to examine it under warranty, I just wanted a refund, and one of my pairs of Racer gloves that have gone back twice now for a stitching repair - they do take a few weeks each time.
