What is the fascination with parallel twins at the moment. Is it Euro regs or is it just cheaper to develop for midrange bikes, seems everything being launched has the same engine configuration just now.

First bike I had after passing my test many moons ago was a Transalp. Haven't ridden for many years, but this will start me itching.

This looks ok. Suzuki have just launched a mid-size adventure bike also and I sort of get why these may be popular. The thought as I get older of picking up some of the full fat adventure bikes fills me with dread

Im interested in why they didn't just bodge the nc750 engine in an offroad style chassis and call it a translap.

For a start, the NC is only 57bhp, not 91.

I really wantd to want this. But I've no intention of going bog diving on a 200kg £10k bike so I don't need a 21" front wheel and really, really don't want inner tubes.
If they make a road version please with 19" front and tubeless tyres I'm off to the bank.

You can convert to tubeless.

I test rode a Triumph Scrambler 1200, and didn't notice any difference from my current Street Scrambler which has a 19 inch front.

The reason for the test was "puncture anxiety" caused by the tubed tyres on the SS (and the extra 25bhp). I really believe that tubeless rims should, at least, be an option, especially when other bikes in the range have tubeless spoked wheels.

colwyn bay honda are estimating £7995 but price still to be confirmed

makes the tenere look bloody expensive doesn't it
