Aftermarket indicators (not a relay/fast flashing question)
Discussion
Hi everyone
I just wanted to pull on your collective experience with aftermarket indicators. I bought a project bike that had none, my sister had some spare eBay special LEDs going that I put on, all went well. However, the issue that I've had with these rubber mounted flexible ones is that the rubber that goes around the threaded tube on two of the indicators has split/pulls the rubber off the thread as I tighten the nut. Is this caused by me overtightening or were they just poor quality?
Pretty much all aftermarket indicators I can find seem to be essentially the same design, so if I replace these am I going to have the same issue? It's a 2003 so going back to factory is likely to be even mroe expensive than just buying aftermarket. I have two mounting holes on the fairing for the indicators, but all the aftermarket ones seem to be disigned ot mount through a single hole, I'm not sure if that makes any real difference though
