Really love the idea of one of these, anyone been thinking about them or even ridden one of them or the 250 version?

The only thing stopping me from bringing one to blighty is the fact it’s got a SWM engine, I am just not very confident about some of these Chinese engines.

Cool looking thing.

Chinese engines are better now than they were, generally. Particularly the bigger brands and those partnering with European brands.

I've got an old Lifan 125 with 38k miles on it. Still runs fine, and that's from the darker days.

Thanks guys, I think the engine is probably the thing I would worry least about coming from SWM, usually it’s the finish, electrics, and general build quality that is below par in my experience. So the fact that this is hand made in the US shoukd mean it’s pretty good

The fact they don’t list where the engine comes from, but list Australia and Austria as international suppliers, says to me there’s still some anti Chinese sentiment out there.

Can’t say anything about SVM though. Are they related to KTM?

Also, jANUS?
Of all the names available they came up with that.

Could have called it the Goshen, Giek, etc. but no they went with jANUS

Regardless of what its called for the money I can't see why anybody would choose one of these over a genuine vintage scout or harley.

Directly from the website.

.Lose yourself in a joyride that makes the minutes stretch out in the joy of riding and the hours melt away in the passing landscape.

The hours melting away while awaiting AA recovery ,more like.
