After torrential rains on Thursday across the south-east of Australia the sky is blue over the island for Fridays free practice. I wouldn't want to go off the track as you'd likely get bogged!

Plenty of wet ptaches on the curbs and seems to a bit draining across the track in places. Skippy making an appearance as well.

looks like it'll be a wet FP2 if the rain radar is anything to go by.

Moto2 FP1 was red flagged and delayed for about twenty minutes due to a few people inexplicably throwing it down the road for no reason.

FP2 turned out to be dry. Zarco fastest, Bez second, Pol third, Fabio fourth.

Marc, Mav, Fabio, Pecco, Bez, Pol and Mir all looking tight on race pace so far, going to be a close battle. Will we get to see FQ20 and MM93 duelling at the front again? biggrin

Thats missing some sessions.
Basically, it is all live on BT sport 2 and starts at 11pm each evening,
so last night at 11pm it started FP1 for moto3, followed by moto GP then moto 2 (Come on Jake Dixon!). then rinse and repeat from about 3am on, til 630 ish.
Same again tonight, FP3, followed by Qually / Fp4 for motoGP.
11pm here is 10am there.

What's the best way for me to watch this? I'm moving house today and losing my Virgin TV and thus BT Sport.

We're only planning to be in the new place for 9 months and won't be getting another TV package from Virgin/Sky etc. I don't mind signing up to a MotoGP subscription for next season as well.

The motogp.com Videopass should be reasonably cheap with only three rounds left. It still won’t be cheap, but if you want to watch all the sessions it is second to none.

Yeah, from what I've seen that looks a good deal.

Wish I had time to watch all the sessions!

I've had videopass for a few years, I feel like it's good value. I don't have the time or inclination to watch every session, but getting to see GP quali and all races on demand is great.

I think it's 30 euros for the rest of the season.

Jorge Martin just took Lorenzos old lap record which has stood for quite a few years and was set after the track was resurfaced. Not bad for a first-timer around the track on a MotoGP bike.

Fabio should be taking note of his tactic.
