A2 to A - Bike Suggestions

Hello!

Been riding my 2014 Honda CBR500R for the last 2 years on an A2 licence and I've got my A booked for the end of the month. My budget is around £4k but could wiggle somewhat. 90% of my riding is commuting into London (underground secure parking so theft is not much of an issue but price of insurance definitely is!).

Currently got my eye on a 2013+ Triumph Street Triple 675 but no idea really what I want. I do like the occassional weekend B road blast and would like to do some longer trips to Wales & Scotland.

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Trumpet is a good shout, 675

Ducati Monster 796 or 821 would be just about in budget if you bought privately.

Older speed triple would be available in budget.

There's also a load of pretty large engined Japanese stuff available too - XJR1300, Bandit 1250, Z1000 etc
