Saw this in the rumour mill ...

https://www.bikesportnews.com/news/news-detail/oxf...

I'd love to see Danillo in BSB, also lets not forget the new UK MD of Ducati Fabrizio Cazzoli as an Italian would no doubt be enthusiastic about having him here, its the combo the factory loves most, italian bike, italian rider .... so may come with some support that maybe Tommy wouldn't.

I would think Bird is the likely option due to his historic links with Ducati Corse, rather than Lloyds, who are effectively running customer bikes slightly away from Ducati Corse. Bit if Lloyds made the approach, why not?

Where do Lloyds fit in ? They haven't been the MR sponsor for years ? Or have I missed a release for 2023 ?

Bridewell gonna end up in PBM and Petrux takes the Oxford Ducati seat vacated by Bridewell.

Sorry not Lloyds I meant Oxford.

AS I say Bird has the direct link to Ducati Corse and I think Danilo is a Ducati contracted rider in America no? SO the obvious route is PBM, but maybe Oxford have the budget to offer him or Bird doesnt want him, he would have to learn the tracks etc and he usually wants guys with BSB experience

I doubt he will but he will be a good signing for BSB. Very popular rider and fairly recent MotoGP winner.

Better get my bike serviced before motorapido put their prices up to pay him.

I think Bridewell to PBM is more likely but Petrucci to Moto Rapido? I can't see that one myself, he'd take one look at Cadwell and be "errrr no, i will go back to America and Dakar yes"

Will PBM want to risk signing another big name from a 'World' paddock with limited BSB experience after Sykes this year. I doubt it. Might be why it's Oxford Products in the frame.

I'd love to see Petrucci give it a go, but it wasn't great for Rabat this year.

I guess Petrucci would be hoping to mimic Redding. Take the BSB championship and step up into WSBK. Can't see him winning the championship, but if he goes well it might work.

The dakar didn't daunt him. MotoAmerica tracks look sketchy. I think he'll be fine with bsb tracks. Adapting to the bikes may be the issue.

I'd love to see Petrux in BSB, would definitely go to Knockhill to try and ask him how it compares to Mugello hehe

I think we’ll see him on the buildbase suzuki after his run out on the Moto gp bike!!!!

I can’t see him coming to bsb on a ‘non factory’ bike tbh.

Rumour mill piece by Whitham on Sunday said Buildbase will be a different manufacturer next year.

My bet is Honda or BMW.

Makes sense, the Suzuki is old now, down on power compared to the rest, so not a good starting point.

They have BMW experience previously, so that's certainly an option, all depends on what support they can muster from Germany or Japan if Honda is the route the go down.

That's what I thought. Honda would benefit from some more data too.
