Breakdown cover
Discussion
I had used Auto aid in the past (about 4 yrs ago) but stopped because they DID have a vehicle age limit (I think it was 20) and I had a car that was too old.
I'm glad to hear they now apparently don't, and in fact they mention classic cars as well as bikes on their website.
But they didn't appear when I did a meerkat comparison in September.
It appears that they have two levels of cover now, for vehicles up to 15, and for 16+:

Coincidentally, that's who I went to! I have bikes, and a car that's 46 yrs old and RAC will attend to them all. They put the price up this year by £10 at renewal. but offered me a 15-month policy which made it worth it.
Looking at Auto aid though, now I know they WILL do old vehicles, both bikes and cars, it'd have been £5 cheaper. Next year...

I've been with Start Rescue for a few years, although thankfully I've never actually had to use them so couldn't really give you an idea of how good they are.
Been paying ~£80 I think for 12 months to cover both Me&Mrs on any vehicle we're driving/riding/travelling in, with Nationwide Recovery, which always seems a fairly competitive price for such broad cover for 2 people.
The general reviews for them always seem pretty good/positive, so that's about all I've had to go on. That and a competitive price point for the cover on offer.

For both our cars we use Start Rescue. A low annual membership cost, and about £30 for a call-out. That seems the best, we haven’t had a breakdown for years, but we want some cover just in case. It covers everything except home start - and U.K. only. I guess they have similar for motorbikes.
