Manchester to County Sligo tips

Why pick Sligo?
Depending on how long your over you have a shed load of options.
I go down the west coast on average 3 times a year on the bike and everytime is different.
Donegal is a good place to start. Head towards the Downings and you will find a little bar known as the singing pub. Good food good crac and good drink.
Also its a good place to explore.
Take a day min to do galway ( not the city but head to Clifden and stick to the coast road) Then head across the hills etc for some good riding
If you can head around conamara....the roads are just amazing and the landscape is class in a barren rocky sort of way.
Mostly the best way to ride around and explore is to try to get yourself lost. So turn of your sat nav and just take a backroad and only turn on the sat nav 30 mins or so before you need fuel.
As for security for the bike.....I have never had any problems or worrys about my bike on any trip. Never took even a disk lock along
