Ex Paul Hollywood with all recalls completed failed to make its reserve at just £26k and 2 bids.

Did you see what the Ducati 999 got bid up to in the end? I am here at Silverstone this weekend and saw it at the auction, thought it might be worth a bid at £7000 to £8000, until I saw in the brochure that the guide price was £14k to £16k yikes

Is it possible to just pop along to one of these things or do you need to get registered & buy entry?

Might stick one in the calendar for next year - Silverstone is just over an hour’s ride on interesting roads so it might be good excuse for a day out. No real interest in buying although if a Series A Opel Manta came up it might less of a free day than I thought!

Here's their guide to buying. Since the pandemic, all car and bike auctions (even the ones that didn't before 2020 like ACA in King's Lynn rolleyes), allow bidding online. It was the only way they kept going! Some (but not all) charge an extra 1% like Silverstone do for bidding online, because they don't get the revenue from your attendance:

I cannot understand why anyone would want one of these.

Can’t be ridden without constantly fearing it will blow up. It will always be associated with the demise of Norton and fraud on investors and the work force.
