Rural France, bloke on a trike (could have been 50's or 60's, possibly 70's) It had a rear-facing bech seat that would fit 2 passengers (pillions?).

Nothing else to go on, I'm afraid. It was green. smile

Ex-military Moto Guzzi Falcone/Ercole? There were loads of these in trike form for all sorts of purposes. An old gun carriage would have rear facing seats.

The wheelbase was a fair bit shorter. The rear of the bench seat was effectively the rider's backrest.

He may be a neighbour or near-neighbour, as I don't imagine he'd travelled far on it. smile I'll keep my eyes peeled.

It turns out the rear seat won't actually fit two... smile

Poirier tricycle for people who are "fatiguées des jambes, paralysées, ou amputées".

Cool, thanks. It doesn't look lile either of those, but I'm prepared to accept that's what it is.

Not exactly the same model, but look at the front part of the frame in the video and compare it with your photo.

The web page gives some background on the manufacturer.

Thanks all.

I can confirm it's now in use as a leisure vehicle, not an invalid carriage.

We're more familiar with the enclosed glass fibre version, but the original (Greeves) Invacar was open to the elements.
