After some advice please, a chap near me is advertising a 2002 Ducati Monster 620 for sale, apparently bought new by an older gentleman who didn’t get on with it, so it was parked up in his garage and never used - and now just been sold.

It’s done less than 200 miles. Had a full service from Ducati recently but I wonder what rubber will be like (fork seals etc) after standing for so long.

As there is nothing else like this for sale, it’s very hard to place a value on it. An old monster would be a bit of fun if it’s cheap, but apart from “it’s worth what someone will pay”, would anyone have a clue how to value it please?

Thanks for any suggestions !

Look on eBay for a price lots of low mileage mint condition Monsters for sale. The 600/620 don't go for anywhere near as much as big engined versions. We sold a 2001 600 with 2.5k on the clock a couple of years back for a little more than half what we paid new. The tyres were original and age noted at mot but seemed OK no cracking.

There will be quite a few low mileage ones around although less than 1k miles will be rare.

A 6k mile one looks to have sold for £3.8k ish at a dealer on eBay recently.

It’s not a rare or special bike so there won’t be much premium vs a low thousand mile bike.

I’d say £4K would be a fair price for a private sale.
