So this weekend see's Moto GP return to Silverstone, its looking dry too and hopefully not too warm.

The roof box is packed, the wobble box is being collected tomorrow (i promise to get out of the way if your on a bike) beer and more importantly pringles have been ordered. Look out for the normal 46 flag and also 43 flag 8 mtrs up.

So what do we think the weekend will bring, can anyone see past a Ducatti win ?

I’m going with my teenagers and next door neighbour. Weather looks perfect, fingers crossed!

I’m really hoping Aleix goes well, that Aprilia seems to be the complete package now so maybe Mav will be up there too?

Last chance to see Dovi in action in the U.K.

Just announced his retirement after Misano.

Angry Honey Badger man back in to replace him…

I’ve been given a ticket for Saturday so I’ll be riding up early doors.

Anyone have any info on leathers and helmet storage this year? I’ve booked free parking at the circuit for my bike, but couldn’t find anything about kit in the FAQs. I believe it is available, but that’s all I know.

The ‘entertainment guide’ on the Silverstone website has a helmet & leather storage place available in car park 1

ETA - near gate 1, not car park 1

There is usually somewhere, last time by the main entrance I think. I’ll try and find out tomorrow

Is he fit enough and fast enough do you think? Been out the game a couple of years now, although hes their test rider, would have thought it would have been a good opportunity for Toprack to get some MotoGP miles in a stress free environment, or another young gun. Bringing Cal back, as much as he's a nice guy, isn't forward thinking unless they are planning to use him as a test weapon to try thing for next year?

You can leave kit at abbey on edge of car park near the loos. Like a quid or so an item. Saw it there today.

I saw Dovi about 10 mins after this was announced today, and told him how much we’d all miss him. And that Britain loved him!

(This actually genuinely did happen! Day of Champions paddock passes!).

Today we (me and Moto GP OBSESSED daughter) got selfies and photos with
Jack Miller.
Pecco
Vietti
Artegas,
Fabio
Dovi
Sam lowes
Enea
Digi
Pedro Acosta
Remy Gardner
De la porta
Herve Ponceheral,
Alex Marquez
Sasaki
John McPhee
Mav Vinales - in both his cycling gear and his team kit!
Gavin Emmet!
Johan Zarco
Izan Guevara
Josh whattley
Scott Ogden
John Hopkins
Randy Mamola
Aaron Canet
Joe Roberts
Pete Hickman
Rory Skinner
John Mcaguines, we we had a good chat with
And the genuinely charming and very humble Luca Marini, who was happy to stop on his scooter and have a chat with us as well as do some photos.

The ones that got away!
Alex Rins- sorry they are waiting for me- cue me ‘but I’m waiting for you too, Alex, I’ve been waiting for 52 years!

And weirdly, Keith Heuwen, although he did say hello and we were in a massive queue of people on the bridge leaving as he fought his way past going in!

Excellent day, one very happy 15 year old and I thought it great fun too!

Next year Keith Heuwen and Alex Rins, next year! Lol

I also got a marchnisi front wheel from Randy De Puniets 2008 lcr Honda for 30 quid from Riders two wheels for health stand, to make a clock for daughters room with! It’s awesome.

I think it’s just the easiest option for them being he’s still their test rider…

Don’t see him doing much/anything to be honest.

If I was Toprak I wouldn’t want to move over to a substandard bike and risk a crash/injury when doing so well defending his crown.

Crutchlow is the test rider afterall, and with only 2 Yamaha's on the grid next year it's a great tactical move IMO to get some in race testing of new components etc for the 2023 bike.

I don't think there will be any expectation for him to achieve anything just to get the testing job done, don't crash and provide data.

How do you book free parking for the bike - I couldn't see anything on the website??

I think storage might be here, there is nothing - that I can see by gate 1

Have you got to book parking for the bike??

I’m pondering a last minute decision to watch qualifying on Saturday for me and (possibly) the missus but tickets not available on the gate - you’ve got to buy online?
