Calne bike meet
Discussion
Anybody go this weekend? Hope you had a good time.
Anybody know who the (presumedly, professional) photographer was on the main road between Lyneham and Calne?
For those who aren't aware... Calne bike day is a massive one day meet that pretty much takes over the centre of a small market town in Wiltshire. If you're into sitting about in the sunshine... it was a damn good day. If you don't like people, bikes or crowds... not so much. No pic's, as I was busy enjoying myself, but there were some crackin' bikes there... among the several thousand bikes, Vincents, RD250s, Ducatis, CCMs, Buells, Harleys, Indians, Douglas, Victorys, a number of gorgeous old CB1100Rs, plenty of old Zeds, a Cheney or two, a streetfightered CBX1000, Ner - a - car, Puch, butchered classics, chops, Mondeo types, scooters, even (for everyone's amusement) a bunch of lads on "quads 'n' Gixers" wearing jogging bottoms, flip flops and socks! Oh yeah... and an old Laverda.
Sitting in the shade of the trees with a beer or two, 'twas a very pleasant way to spend a sunny day.

Biker Pics were out of the Wroughton Road. They sometimes have a few cars parked up in different areas.
Was a good day, so many gorgeous bikes.
Thanks, I'll give them a shout. I did search, but didn't turn up anything specific. Was a good day, so many gorgeous bikes.
A mate has been head of the committee that organises this event for a few years now... reckoned it was the biggest for a long time.
