As already know and mentioned here somewhere Suzuki are leaving Motogp.
Have they made a wrong choice? Honda did the same thing with F1 but seem to have dumped the CEO
who made that choice. They now seem to be sniffing around F1 again.
Did Suzuki's CEO just copy that move to look forward thinking at the time?

No idea - maybe they think the massive outlay to run a motogp team just isnt delivering sufficient return on investment for the spend.
Suzuki as a manufacturer seem to be more interested in recycling platforms / minimizing R&D spend so limiting Motogp is logically consistent.
That statement might be wrong though....

BMW dont have a motogp team and are still successful.

I don't believe it's done because that's what they WANT to do, just the economic climate. It could be argued that it doesn't make much sense developing IC engines any more, with a firm eye on the next 10 years plus for greener options, which seems a more likely reason, but only Suzuki really know.

Shame really, regardless

That's my thinking on it. Less development, sales dropped, marketing not been as on point as others so they focused more on pricing but what you see happening now with Suzuki is the knock on affect

My take too.

Its a shame Davide Brivio left after they won the championship in 2020. They didn't really replace him until this year, and it really hurt them in 2021 when the bike was still competitive.

I believe the intention of GP's is to develop synthetic fuels, the MotoE series is a closed shop, so the development value to Suzuki is limited. I think they're underestimating the good will value that comes from the series.
