I just read a Bike magazine review of the new XSR900 - it got 9 out of 10.
Looks good on paper & nicer than the previous version, but I'm not quite sure about the seat hump & the headlight...
I quite like the look of it, but perhaps a bit too contrived?
What say the PH Massive?

Based on looking at some pics, the headlight is good, the seat hump not. Could do with the 80s curved spoke, but otherwise looks great.

Based on riding the previous XSR900, it'll be great for playing silly buggers around A roads. More power than I care for, but bouncy, fun handling.

If I didn't prefer my bikes with one fewer cylinders I'd be all over it.

I've had singles, IL4s & a twin, but never a triple. I've heard very good things about the Yam engine & also Yam general reliability/lack of recalls....
Mulling over a new bike in the next months!

I owned a first gen XSR and if it’s like that the engine is an absolute peach, sounds great and goes very well.

The general feel and handling of the previous MT09/XSR was quite wayward under duress, as it was quite a nose up stance with boingy forks and rear shock. I understand the new MT09 is a lot better in this regard so suspect the XSR is too.

Unless you're in love with the looks of the XSR - the MT-09 SP is a better iteration of the new CP3 engine.

It’s too hipster for me.

Which is exactly why I'm wavering! It's certainly not as cheesy as the SV650X, but not as cool as a CCM....

I have have one in black, had it a few weeks.
I really like the look of it and you get used to the seat hump.
I don’t have much to compare it to as it’s my first bike, but am enjoying it.
The induction souls a good.
The quick shifter is great, brakes good and build quality seems all ok.
Prob not much help!

I don't really like the new seat hump. Mine had a rear rack for touring, this was it just before I sold it. Really great bike.

Agree about the seat hump - but presumably that shouldn't be too hard to sort out

What about the exhaust though ?

Doesn't go with the rest of the bike IMO
