Nice to see Peter Hickman getting a wildcard for Donington, especially after his recent success at the TT, FHO seem to be riding on a bit of an exposure wave at the moment after their link with Gas Monkey and now this, good luck to them.
Plenty to cheer for next weekend, fingers crossed Peter and Tarran Mackenzie put up a good account of themselves.

I’m surprised BMW hasn’t been able to develop the bike more, it’s not a top running bike in anyone’s hands.

The R1 seems the bike to have given the way Ray and Ryde are going on the old McAms bikes.

I wonder if Pete will get one?

Quite a surprise, he was ok at Donington in May, but not in the same league as OHaloran and the OMG Yam lads.

Well certainly not on short circuits at least but maybe that's because the development isn't going the way they want it to. Redding seems to be nothing but griping about the bike and isn't Van Der mark injured?
The R1 is definitely a sweet handling bike, evidenced by the success of last year but the |BMW seems to do better on the roads or maybe that is just down to the rider as Hillier was on an OMG R1 at the TT and wasn't in the mix to an extent.
We shall see how Hicky goes.

He's riding his FHO bike with an upgraded WSBK electronics package.

Yes indeed. I more musing how he needs a different bike to give BSB a proper go. I’ll be watching but I’m not expecting him to be able to do much with the wild card.
