Looking for a good tyre for fast road and track riding.

I only ride when it's dry but if I get caught out on the rain I could do with something that can handle it.

Was looking at M9RR, S22 or maybe something a bit more track orientated, but I won't be very quick and I'm on a ZX6R, probably towards the bottom of the pack of inters.

Thanks.

S22 - Power 5 would be an option but the pricing is quite salty.

Thanks everyone.

Trying to order Rosso IV Corsa.

Waiting to hear back if they can get them in stock.

I used M7RR for a couple of track days last year, and M9RR this year. 06 ZX6R. Novice and now inters. I really rate them but I've not tried much else.

Was ideally looking for a 180/60 rear but no one has that tyre in stock unfortunately. I’ve gone for 180/55 and 120/70 instead.

Been using Power GPs for a fair bit on my MT10. Very happy with them. Just swapped for a Power 5, but that is with less, maybe no, track use in mind.

Any of what has been mentioned for that size bike and your pace you've said would be fine

My pick would be the S22 or a sportier pirelli but as already said the pirelli operating range is in my opinion suited more warm even their sports touring whereas the S22 is genuinely good even in cold/damp

I find you get great feedback from pirelli though

I was recommended m7rrs years back and in the wet/cold road riding winter I did find them good but come summer dry I didn't like the feedback and could noticeably feel the compound change as I dropped in

I also had a could moments and one at nurburgring from the front which put me off them

Going from experience the S22 are a good all rounder all fine for Inters track day pace. You could run tail end of fast if you were smooth and didn't get them too hot

Have a look at the Rosso Corsa II as well...been superseded by the Rosso Corsa IV now I believe but they’ll be more than capable of running low inters pace and last pretty well on the road too...
