Hi all,

I passed me test about 1 month ago and have just collected my 1st bike.
I don’t have much to compare it to but am loving it .

Congratulations, looks alright that. I might have to hand in my PH BB card for asking this, but what is it? I'm not really up on newer bikes. Have fun, and remember to look where you want to go.

The new Yamaha xsr900 I think - congratulations on the pass and new bike OP, and enjoy!

Looks great, congratulations. The shaped seat definitely works better on a black bike imo.

Lovely bike, I had a test ride on a new one yesterday, felt instantly easy to ride, great with the quickshifter too, good choice! Just take your time and get some hours under your belt.

Hi all,
Thanks for the kind comments.
Loving it in black, my old man has the blue one which is also nice but I’m guessing it may be more common in the roads.
Yes loving the bike, am taking it very easy and am going out of an evening when less traffic is on the roads, and also using roads I’m familiar with.
It’s defo way more performance than I need at the moment but will be a good bike to grow into.
It seems (with my limited experience) well balanced and the quick shifter is brilliant.
Just need to get through the next few hundred miles of running in and gaining confidence so that I can go up the rev range a bit.

Fantastic looking bike there :-)

Take it easy and get to know it. Even on my first 500 it was all to easy to arrive at a corner a bit hot and have a moment. Concentrate on looking ahead and being smooth. You'll have an absolute ball on that.
