Has anybody parked their motorbike at Royal Ascot before? If so, where did you park and was it free?

As usual, there has been a complete omission of any motorcycle parking on the event map.

I'd be surprised if the number or people who attend royal Ascot on a motorbike is in double figures.

That's the common misconception with motorbikes, i.e. you'd turn up wearing motorbike gear. However, even a single top box has enough capacity to store boots, jacket, and trousers (helmet can be locked to the bike). I've attended numerous black tie events in London, for example, and the motorbike has always been a convenient way of getting to and from the venue.

To be fair, there isn't anywhere to park your horse at the NEC Bike show.

yeah i know ive carried my site gear, depending on the client and their requirements, in a roll bag for twenty years, i even have a door mat to stand on when i get changed at the side of the bike so i dont get wet feet

sometimes, you're even allowed to use the site office to get changed in

I'll wave at you from the commoners' 'Windsor Enclosure' beer

I'd imagine some staff and security travel there by bike so I'd like to think there is an area for bikes. Give them a call though, a few phone numbers on the website

Thanks, but not surprisingly, they don't answer their phone (just like most other businesses these days).

I received a response from my email enquiry. For anybody Google searching for the answer, either now, or in ten year's time, the answer is "Car Park 8".

Do you need a ticket for Car Park 8 or can you park for free? (I've only just been gifted a ticket so haven't had advanced notice)

Online tickets aren't available anymore anyway so it'll be a case of turn up and see what happens. I don't expect to have to pay!

Even the big box stores have horse parking.
