Sold the KTM1290 as I can’t really justify 11k sitting in the garage, so I am now on the hunt for a mint K5 to K8, if anybody knows of any tucked up is any garages then please do let me know

Must be low mileage
Blue/white with black wheels or black/grey
Not Gixxered up!
In very good condition

I do have a few on my radar and nearly bagged a 4000mile K5, for 4.5k, spoke to the chap, was just about to pay deposit and he took deposit from someone else. I was absolutely gutted. We will be seeing that in a showroom soon for £6k

Off to look a glorious black model maybe tomorrow, but it is top dollar, but will pay of right and it won’t loose slot of money

I do miss my K7

Understand that mate, ive been watching Lambchops fettling his K8 and it made me miss my K7 as well.

Cracking bike, I bought it new end of 2007, if i had have kept it, looks like it may have only lost £600 on it in 15 years!

I wouldn't bother with K5/6, go for a later bike with better forks etc.

I don't like black sports bike generally but that look lovely. I sold mine in 2016 ( k8 59 plate) with 2500 miles on it for £4800 rolleyes Yet another great financial investment amongst many.
Cracking bike enjoy .

Gotta love a picture of the old girl, gone but not forgotten .

Tail tidy and plate ordered, for now that will be it.

But I have been looking at trans logic quick shifter and blipper, but not sure how it works with regard to fitting in conjunction with remap. Would take it BSD performance

But also is there any point in a remap on a standard K6 as I will probably leave the standard can on as I quite like it.

I’ll see how it rides when I collect it in the week

I would recommend PPF, you can hardly see it, but there are zero stone chips, as we all know Suzuki paint is very thin

Blue anodized levers, pegs and fairing screws. Decals on the wheels saying "Gixxer", mirrored double bubble screen, number plate the size of a postage stamp and stuck up underneath the seat unit, removal of mirrors and fitment of a straight-through slash-cut exhaust.

Am I doing this right ?

(Rats - Lovely bike by the way, I've had 2 K4's as trackbikes and I'm pining for one having seen yours)

There is a Black K8 for sale in London, with low miles, but the advert states, flip up plate professionally fitted. One picture of bike parked on the street, uncleaned etc. Some people have no idea how to advertise . Now I mustn’t judge…but I wouldn’t buy it

GSXR’s have got a bad rap, but the K5-8 looks the nuts, love the styling, rear end etc

I may have paid more for my bike, but I know for sure it’s a good one and has been cherished

There is a good selection in MB motorcycles, I spoke to bloke who was selling my bike yesterday and he knew of this shop and like most dealers they snap up the stock

I missed out on this absolute bargain, spoke to seller, agreed to put deposit down without viewing and before I knew it he had taken a deposit from someone local. I was so pissed off. 4000miles, came from divorced bloke so had been a bit damp in the past, hence powder coated wheels, slight bubbling on engine casing)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175295379106?mkcid=16&a...

I bet this bike will be in a dealer soon for over 6k

My bike was 6k so dealers wouldn’t pester seller as there is no margin in it for them

Bike booked in with BSD for remap and Cordona quickshifter

The bike is great, but to me and in comparison it is a bit flat, I am very surprised that on power the wheel won’t even come up in first. My K7 would lift in 2nd.

So going to get it checked, could be a fuel pump issue

Something definitely wrong. Even without a timing retard eliminator you can loop those in 1st never mind just lift the front.
