I have a fact in the depths of my memory, but I can't remember for the life of me where I heard it or if it's even true.

If I have things like peronal accident cover, breakdown cover, and legal expenses on my car insurance policy, do I need those on my separate motorcycle insurance? Those extras are insuring me as an individual and would still be in place if I had an accident using somone else's car, so wouldn't they cover me on my bike too? Would I in essence be paying twice to be covered once?

My bike insurance and car insurance are even going to be with the same provider (they can't do one policy for both vehicles, I checked), so it seems a bit redundant to have things like PA cover and legal expenses included on my car insurance, and then pay again for that cover as an optional extra on my bike policy.
