I have put a deposit on this bike after checking Hpi report etc and asked questions but from looking at the pictures more closely there is those naff small fixing clip type things all over (fronts &back ) where the panels meet together but there’s no obvious panel damage and definitely doesn’t come fitted from new like this .

Just wonder why someone would do all that

I guess I was asking why someone did that if it wasn’t crashed ,probably loads of small holes drilled

I opened a thread on here after checking the title where everything seemed logical. But on closer inspection in more detail I spotted a load of words out of context that made no sense at all.

Just wondering why anybody would do something like that?

Post some pictures, no one has a clue what you are on about.

It’s hard to make out on that pictures, but someone has added loads of small plastic rivets where the body panels should neatly join together .the bike condition seems very good for the age but this bodge seems a bit of an odd one and unnecessary.possibly the original fixings were overtightened

Most of those fixings look fine to me, maybe the blue/red ones are a bit iffy, but you can swap for the yellow & silver ones.

I think they are liver spots, they come with age.
They are not dangerous, but if they change colour or get swollen you need to see about them.

I since have heard he decided he doesn’t want to sell it now but did say he will refund the £50 deposit .If I don’t get the money back today will report the add ...

I won’t name and shame him on a public forum as he’s got my details .come across quite a few people like this .seems like best way to buy stuff is just turn up promptly with cash .haggle a bit and deal is done

Seller of the bike has said a few times he will refund me the £50 and hasn’t .probably thinks after a while I will just let it go .next tactic in a few days ,constantly calling him until settled .still has the advert up as well .
