After a few years of not having a proper bike I decided to take the plunge and buy myself something. This has been mostly spurred on by my brother doing his DAS and looking at bikes for himself!

I was actually in America when I found this one for sale. It was at a little dealer in Yorkshire but advertised for a bit more than I wanted to pay. It was on eBay with “Make an offer” so I offered quite a bit less than they were asking. Surprisingly the next day they accepted my offer laugh So whilst still on holiday I had to arrange payment to the garage and sort out someone to collect the bike for me too! Once that was sorted I could then continue to “enjoy” DisneyWorld!

Roll on a week to today and the bike arrived smile It’s a 2012 Suzuki GSR750. It’s done 9000 miles from new, has dealer service history, has been done out in the Yoshimura colours, Yoshimura end can, adjustable levers, Oxford heated grips and an R&G tail tidy. I haven’t ridden it yet as I need to sort out the insurance and tax. I also need to figure out how to clean the tyre dressing off the tyres! If anyone has any suggestions on that they would be greatly appreciated.

Anyway, here it is biggrin

It was getting dark so that’s the only picture I took. I’ll get some more tomorrow hopefully!

I’ve been mostly knocking around on a Honda Silverwing 600cc scooter that I picked up cheap last year so this should be a shock to the system coming from that laugh

After doing a bit of reading up over the weekend I went and bought some acetone from the local Savers. Popped round to the garage on my lunch break today and gave the tyres a good wipe over until they were no longer greasy with tyre shine. I'll go back round there after work and give them another going over, but it looks like the acetone has pretty much done the trick. Just need to find somewhere at Mrs Sammos to leave the bike at night and then I can start using it smile
