So I had my first 2 stroke on track experience and although it only lasted 2 sessions I must say it was brilliant!!

The paddock was filled full of exotica, creations and everything in-between. My next 'must have' is the Bimota V-Due 500 (If someone can setup a go fund Birky £30k that would be great)

Ran brilliantly and a great atmosphere

And then of course my humble setup

I recorded the second session here but turned the camera off down the straight as I thought it wasn't recording and was trying to turn it on... Silly me

Video here >>> https://youtu.be/AuFCtYgu-04

Unfortunately the riding on my old smoker was cut short when I went out third session and unbeknown to me the bike down the straight blew the base gasket spraying anti freeze all down the left side. I quickly found this out on the left hander at over 100mph and can't believe I saved it

Video here >>> https://youtu.be/QdDEQXt0eRo

It's in for repair now and I'll be on the next one at Mallory

I didn't get many pics but here's a couple

She's going well!!! thumbup

A good job saving the slide , that could have been very nasty. But looked a well run and attended day. Nice ot see some decent exotica being given a run out.
And forget a\bout the V-Due, if you're serious, get a decent TZ.....

My kind of trackday , great pics.

RGV Schwantz rep is a friend of mines, the spillage incident sounded like an ass clencher!

Fair play, sounds a cracking day . Are the V-Due 500 actually fetching 30k ? I placed a deposit on one 4 years ago with 50 miles on the bike, i pulled out after reading they didn't work unless reverted back to carbs. It was 18k frown
Yet another successful financial decision made by myself hurl

You can get them for 18-20k still now but with the original fuel injection. You're right though they need to go back to carbs. Also cranks, sealing and other areas properly done which was reasons they didn't work properly 20+ years ago

Get one of those and you're talking 30k but a true 130hp 500 smoker weighing not very much and being one hell of a ride

I suspect you could use a modern ECU to manage the FI on the Bimota. It was the processor speed and ECU 'ability' to manage the timings related to injection for a V twin 2T that was the real issue. It was too far ahead of its time in that respect but easily resolved with a decent modern ECU
