I've not been here before and am planning to go on the Sunday but would like to know if it's worth booking grandstand seats or roaming around the circuit for the day.

Any advice for a first visit and how to get the most out of it?

Cheers.

I used to like watching from the bank on the start finish. You got a good view of the start finish straight, then you could follow it through the bends before the mountain. The opposit by the bar isn't bad either and you get to see the racers crossing between races.

Grandstands wont get you a better view anywhere other than perhaps Charlies. it is a lovely track to walk around, plus it is also a nice walk

Down towards Mansfeild from the Gooseneck is pretty good, but as previously mentioned it's a great circuit to walk around.

There are so man great spots to watch from that it's just worth wandering round. The bottom of the Mountain is a great place, as are Hall Bends (though usually very busy) and we like the bit between Coppice and Charlies too because you're really close to the track and if you're in the right place you can also see the chicane.

It's a brilliant weekend. We've been camping for the three days for many years now - the late night shouts of 'Alan! Alan! Alan!' over the campsite never get old.
