Ducati Supersport S.
Discussion
I have ridden one and enjoyed it, the suspension was great and it rode really well. The fairing was a bit rattly on the demo I took out, not sure if thats normal?
I tried the new Monster+ straight after though and fell in love with it. Same engine but felt much smaller and more nimble and was more suited to the sort of road riding I do. Ended up buying a Monster

This is a copy of my thoughts on this posted a couple of years ago:
I had a Supersport S for a summer when they first came out. Excellent bike, very docile and forgiving but with enough power without being threatening. Ohlins suspension very good. The whole package is very confidence inspiring.
It’s also surprisingly comfy over a long day compared to something like a Panigale, though for touring luggage options are restrictive from memory.
However, after saying all the above, for me it fell between 2 stools; not exciting enough for a midweek blast, not enough room to tour any great distances on. I ended up buying a Tuono and a secondhand tourer
Oh yes, and like the Panigale, the mirrors are s--t!

I’ve test ridden it three different times now and have come to the the meh! conclusion.
Should be perfect, v twin, great riding position, more than enough power (for me) for the road, pillion capable, nice sounds, good looks etc but not £8 - 13k of ownership pride, sense of occasion, still tugs at it’s chain at town speeds, too nice / lack of spares to trackday regularly and I’d agree that lack of cruise is an oversight and the mirrors are biblically rubbish.

Update…had a look at a few Supersports over the last month. What did catch my eye in the dealers was somewhat of a curve ball. I picked up a BMW R nine T Racer this morning. It shakes, rocks & chugs & can’t be rushed but I felt at home before I got out of the car park, it’s fab. The reports of a wrist wrecking torture device may be true but I did a few hours today & found it ok. It’s not ballistic at all, bit of a lazy old donk but it picks up speed quite deceptively. The fairing works a treat. I’m chuffed tbh ..

Congrats, almost bought an R nine T Racer couple of years ago, it was my first time on a twin, and shaft drive and dry clutch, and about 4c, but once I got used to it really enjoyed the test ride, didn't find the riding position that extreme coming from sports bikes, more stretched forward than weight down on your wrists. The engine shakes about a bit at idle but smooths out lovely in the midrange, great sound even on the standard exhaust. If they hadn't sold the pre reg one I wanted I'd be riding one now, instead went for the Thruxton R, which I love but sometimes still hanker after the BMW as they are such a rare sight on the roads.
Hope you enjoy it and post some pics

Love mine, fast enough when pushing it and comfortable to ride all day.
keep looking at Pani’s but just know I’d regret it after an hour or so, folded up!
