Let's just hope it doesn't have the same influence on the championship as it seems to have had on F1..
Are you referring to the Masi scandal in the F1 championship decider?Let's just hope it doesn't have the same influence on the championship as it seems to have had on F1..
Think the changes in F1 are more due to Liberty who own F1, than the Netflix series. Netflix series was obviously something else Liberty brought in (has been really good for F1 in my opinion).
I tried to watch the first episode yesterday and turned it off after 20 minutes, that dubbing is truly awful, a total turn off. Hope they get it fixed and i might try again………but you only get one chance to make a first impression
Just started watching it again with out the dubbing ………so much better

The audio issues are fixed, but I can’t believe how lazily made it is. I absolutely love MotoGP and this is just basic behind the scenes footage with no narrative, direction or reason to grow or gain interest in the sport.
Drive to Survive very nearly made me care about F1 again. That’s high praise.
I’m properly disappointed as I was so looking forward to this.

4 episodes in and I am really enjoying it if I am honest, the well publicised dubbing delay my start, now it's resolved I'm binge watching.
Being a die hard MotoGP fan for me it's really interesting seeing what goes on behind the scenes, the frustrations, the politics, the highs and lows. Yes it probably doesn't have a narrative as such, but it is compelling viewing to understand the behind the scenes at a race weekend.

Thanks to the thread, I watched to the penultimate episode today (bum is completely numb!).
I really enjoyed it.
It showed that they weren't all automatons who trained, slept, and rode. (they ate, too. )
I liked the way they talked about each other, including the swearing, and the way that they didn't, or couldn't, hide their frustrations when things didn't go their way.
It also really showed the pressure that they were under, race to race.
It's a 10 out of 10 from me.
