I am trying to connect my new leathers to the Dainese D Air app (as you do!) in order to register and download any software updates.
I have downloaded the app to my pc and plugged in the USB from the leathers - however, don’t seem to be able to get beyond a ‘not connected’ message.
I haven’t found much online.
Anyone familiar with any basics here that I could be missing?
Any thoughts appreciated.

Several YouTube videos go through the setup process – search for "Dainese d-air registration". Alternatively, you could ask your local Dainese dealer or email the UK's official D-Store (dainese.london@dainese.com).

If all else fails, you can ask Dainese via their online form (but a reply is unlikely to be immediate): https://www.dainese.com/gb/en/dainese/contact-us/c...

Once it's set up, the D-Air is straightforward to use. Dainese emails you when there's a software update – usually 2-3 times a year. Updating is done and dusted in a minute.

The Dainese website is a bit confusing as it implies the 2D software is for pre-2019 suits. However, based on your comments, this appears the one for the race suits generally. Was a bit wary about doing the wrong thing - but will download and see what happens...

On a similar note I was thinking about buying an "unused 2nd hand item". Do you need proof of purchase from the original dealer when registering for updates? Any issues if you are not the 1st registered keeper?

Good question - I dont have the exact answer, but on my quick skim of the manual, Dainese seemed to take registration of the suit quite seriously.

The manual that I received with my suit is downloadable here:

Again, I dont find the Dainese website very clear at all re this and the link to the above software downloads on their site implies that this is for pre-2019 suits - however, as far as I can tell, this is the Dainese D Air race suit stuff - I'm assuming that this is why I cant connect my suit to the computer with the other software on the site - which is implied is for post 2019 suits - but one could maybe read that this is for the D Air Road - let's see...

Bit of a long shot here but ……
I am having this very same issue

Did it get resolved and if so how ?
This is driving me insane , I’ve tried a laptop , a Mac and a desktop and I’m getting the “not connected “. Error on all 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
