Strange problem with a 2002 Mille,18k in great condition overall.
Bike starts perfectly everytime from cold, runs spot on,however, sometimes if your pootling along in a 20mph zone it suddenly just won't respond to throttle,it just wants to die,if you keep the revs up and slip the clutch it keeps going,if you pull over and let off throttle it will just stall!
The bike will immediately start up no problem and 'might' still have this wanting to stall problem for a mile or so,then it clears itself and it's fine!!The bike is always perfect at high rev ranges, only does this at 20mph zones.During these wanting to stall times it never stutters violently, just smoothly transitions into not want to respond to throttle at low revs?
I recently had a good look under the tank and noticed cracks in the throttle body mounting rubbers, replaced these, also done plugs, checked hoses, cleared out a blocked tank water drain and cleaned/re-oiled k&n filter, but bike still has this fault, anyone any ideas?
Incidentally once it's showed this fault in a day it never does it again?

I'm pretty sure it's fuelling too,it doesn't idle for the short times it shows this fault, once it clears idle is fine. The fault only ever lasts for a minute or two which makes it even more confusing.

Might be worth checking the connections to whatever sensors it has, airbox temp, pressure. Throttle sensor?
Does this bike have a sensor to the inlet vacuum?
Getting the injectors cleaned help me. I used InjectorTune.
worth cleaning the tank and changing fuel hoses before doing that perhaps?

I don't know the ECU on these bikes, can you read anything out and spot nonsense values for anything?

Discovered two things in the one morning.Put the bike into diagnostic mode,it showed tps(throttle position sensor) position as being '-1'?Should be '0'!Fixed that, also the vacuum one way check valve coming off one of the throttle bodies was knackered, took it off and you could blow through it both ways.
Then after a quick call to an Aprilia shop they gave me base settings for the throttle body mixture screws(front throttle body 1 turn out, rear body 1.5 turns out fyi),these were a mile out too!God knows what previous owner was up to?All good now though,in a way though not sure which fault caused my problem? lol.
