Moto2 and Dixon's top so far after FP1 and FP2 ahead of Fernandez and Acosta.

MotoGP Binder (B) out of the blocks quick.

JD highsided late on in the session, and ended FP2 in 10th. Fernandez and Acosta P1 and P2

The Suzukis are showing some good top speed in MGP!

Marquez and Mir both looking strong in race trim, let's hope Marc's fitness is up to it. Martin and Fabio are showing podium pace too, Jack is thereabouts, not sure about Pecco. Esp Bros both looking pacy.... gonna be a tight one. smile

Doesn't matter how good your race pace is, qualifying 11th is no place for a championship contender. Suzuki flattered to deceive so far and Yamaha look in trouble.

Of course race day is tomorrow smile

Track limits scuppered Lowes' chance of pole, but still starts on the front row so still all to play for. I would imagine Dixon is fairly comfortable with 7th. Acosta starts 10th, so if his Moto3 form continues this year in Moto2 that'll be a win with 2nd place 20+ seconds behind wink

Didn't expect Bastianini starting from the front row, or the factory Yams struggling in 11th & 12th! I expect some fireworks between Martin and Marquez tomorrow.

What happened to the Suzuki's? Looked good until qually then no match for the Ducati's. I do think the number of Dukes on the grid is getting a bit stupid.

Ya think? wink

Ideally Gresini & VR46 would've been on Aprilia and Suzuki, but then Bestia wouldn't be on the front row, Sunday man that he is.... interesting that he's 4.5km/h quicker than everyone else. Still five different manufacturers in the top 8 and I think Mir and Fabio have podium pace.

Well the stewards are clamping down on bad riding in Moto3 from the off.

About time. Pole man Guevara, Suzuki and the title favourite Foggia both pushed to the back with Foggia also getting 2 race long laps.

I don't really understand why they're allowed to have so many. Nobody else can win the manufacturers trophy when you have 2 Suzukis against 8 Ducatis. Should be a maximum of 4 bikes per manufacturer.

Ducati supply 4x 2022 bikes, the others are last years or older. Nothing really wrong with that, other manufacturers can do it if they wanted, there are 4x 2022 KTMs, 4x 2022 Hondas.

But there are 8 Ducati's in total, all of which count towards manufacturer points. I just think that 4 bikes per manufacturer would be best. Obviously Ducati have a lot more income from customer teams and incentive to invest if they have 8 riders, as opposed to Aprillia or Suzuki who only have 2 bikes. The cost of development is the same, if not cheaper with more bikes, as you have more data. It just creates an unfair playing field.

Marini is on a GP22 as well; not sure about Bezzecchi, think he's on a GP21 like Digia and Bestia.

Constructors points are generated by the positions of the top two bikes. Still, having eight bikes on the grid is a better chance than just two.

Is it all the finishers, or only the top one?
