Anyone ridden from the West into London today?

This afternoon I need to get from reading to Bond Street then out to Lewisham before returning to Reading tonight.

Anyone got any insight on how it is out there today ?

Will be travelling M4 in ...

Do I take the car or the bike ?

In London at the moment it is dry, but looks like it is about to rain and so it all depends if you are a fair weather rider. The wind has died down today for sure and it is not an issue. Just depends on you if you want to sit in traffic or not. I would take my bike.

Cheers, I'm an all year round rider so no issues with rain, snow and below zero not so much a fan, was more concerned about the wind ....

Also don't want to arrive at my destination dripping wet on their floor lol .. I'll be dry, my Goretex is effective

There is some wind, but nothing like the last few days due to the storms and so it should not be an issue today. Good luck, ride safe.

I’m in Mayfair at the moment.

Conditions are fine.

Edit: I rode in this morning and quite enjoyed myself - dry and starting to get lighter.

Hope it wasn’t too painful for you. Took me a good extra 20mins to get home due to the M1 being closed.

Just popping in to update, turned out to be a lovely ride with the sun setting behind me ... roads all dry and wind no worse than usual, made it to pick up my new watch and then easy run to Lewisham, journey home was a bit chilly but nothing decent kits doesn't deal with
