Has anybody done a day with these guys? I’ve booked an R6 in May at Oulton.
I’ve done loads of car track days but never on a bike. Any tips for a first timer? I’m both nervous and excited.
Thanks all.

You’ll be very well looked after, treat it like a ride on the road and you’ll have a great time. Overthink it and you’ll stress yourself out,
Good to hear they are good. That was my thoughts. I just want to experience riding a bike on circuit and to be able to enjoy riding a bike without the constant consideration of road hazards.
I enjoy riding on the road but rather than you and the bike it is more about road craft than machine control.
I did the track school last year at Blyton Park, full day with 2:1 instruction on an R6. It was really simple, just arrive and ride, have your session and then back to the paddock, rinse and repeat. I'd only had my full license for a couple of months when I did the day, similar to you I am no stranger to car track days but wanted to get on track on two wheels, it is a very different experience but it was very much worth it and has had a very positive effect on my road riding. Get the additional insurance just in case.
I'd like to do another day instructed on my own bike rather than wobbling around novice under my own steam, not sure whether to to California superbike school or one of the James Whitham days, I've not found another option as cost effective yet.

Good to hear you enjoyed it. I had always planned to do Ron Haslam but it closed down before I got chance.I'd like to do another day instructed on my own bike rather than wobbling around novice under my own steam, not sure whether to to California superbike school or one of the James Whitham days, I've not found another option as cost effective yet.
