BMW Deposit Contribution

Looking at getting a new S1000XR, bought outright with trade in. Dealer advised that if I took out finance for the remaining cost after trade in, BMW would contribute £500 to my deposit. He then said I only need to make 2No payments then pay off the outstanding amount.
Basically I am financing £5100 over the max 47 months so as to keep the first 2 payments low. BMW charges for this is £833.76, so a total of £5933.76.
Would I only pay pack £5100 plus a couple of month worth of charges or would they want the full amount back. Has anybody done this with BMW before?
