675R what to do...
Discussion
I’m getting a little too unhealthy (arthritis) to be honing about on bikes much longer
So do I keep it or sell it....
2012 Trumpet 675R Street Triple (Radial brakes, newer headlamp style, blue shock etc)
Full history
I think it’s done 4K miles
New Bridgestone Hyper Sports
All the keys etc
Crystal white
Pretty standard bar bobbins and frame sliders
Never seen wet weather.
Do I keep it to stare at, or move on. I’m the second owner, if moving it on what would you price it at please?

You could get riser bars if you wanted to continue riding or sell and get something less cramped If you wanted to continue riding. I sold my Daytona 675 gen2 earlier in the year and am riding a VFR800 now which is much nicer ergo wise and comfort.
There's a bike ergo site you can check out :https://cycle-ergo.com/
The Daytona is always egging you on whereas the VFR is torquey in comparison and easier to bimble around on.

Personally I would sell it rather than keeping it as an ornament
Quick way to tell what it's worth is stick it in "we buy any bike" and add a grand - gives a good idea of a private sale price
I would think around £4500 in the Spring - but try the above / take a look on autotrader and eBay
As mentioned you can always get smaller, lighter, comfier bikes I found the Ducati scrambler a lovely little thing for pootling about on

I would sell it and look at more arthritis friendly alternatives (DCT bikes from honda for example), or maybe a full on twist and go scooter - honda x-adv,. or even a light weight 125/250 scooter. You can't beat pottering about the lanes on two wheels. I had the use of a mates tmax scooter for a week, it as a hoot, even the wife went on the back.
I feel the same as the OP.
I was off bikes for a couple of years due to moving house etc but I still had a bike at the end of my garden under a cover.
I’m between bikes now and haven’t had one since September and I’m counting the days till I get my new one. It’s horrible going into the shed and not seeing a bike.
I had a mate who had arthritis in his hips. He went from a sports bike to an adventure bike then a maxi scooter as his hips got worse. (He’s had hip replacement surgery and now is back on a Tracer 07.
If you can get a more suitable bike I’d take that route, but if your biking days are over then it might be less painful in the end to get rid rather than a constant reminder of what you can no longer do.

Great bikes the 675R. Values are going up too, cheapest on eBay is £6500. In your position I'd sell and enjoy the money.
There's a Street Tripe 675R 2012 (same year as OP) on eBay for £3400, so I think you might be being a wee bit optimisticGassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
