Currently running an Suzuki DR350, which I have owned since 2010. Modifications include RGV250 wheels - 17 front and 18 rear, GSX1000 can, and a new speedo/tacho chinese replacement which has allowed the gimmick of a gear indicator to be incorporated using a GS125 neutral indicator switch. Being of an age, and having owned the usual late 70's projectiles of Barton tunes GT750 and CBX1000 6 cylinder with their limited speed and handling modern bikes fear me with the modern 600cc capable of 150mph. While i understand the throttle works both ways the fact I can thrash the DR everywhere, while returning 70mph appealed as an occasional transport method.
One retrospective step has been fitting crossply tyres to replace the radials on the RGV wheels originally fitted - the big RGV front brake rotor can actually lock the wheel which proves unstable on the crossply.
